Parent Participation Program

Bishop Amat High School is a financially self-supporting institution. Tuition and fees do not fully cover the cost of educating each student, so the school relies on fundraising and the generous support of our families to help bridge this gap.

For the 2026–2027 school year, tuition is $11,165 per student. Because the actual cost of educating a student exceeds the amount covered by tuition, every member of the Bishop Amat community plays an important role in supporting the school’s mission and ensuring our students have access to a quality Catholic education.

As part of this commitment, all families are required to participate in the Parent Pledge Program by:

  • Contributing a minimum of $440 per year ($40 per month) through their FACTS account.
  • Completing 36 hours of volunteer service during the 2026–2027 school year, from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027.

The standard Parent Pledge payment schedule is $40 per month through FACTS. Families who prefer to make a one-time payment of $440 may contact Mrs. Gomez in the Finance Office to request an adjustment to their FACTS account.

Volunteer hours provide families with opportunities to support Bishop Amat in a variety of ways throughout the school year. Of the required 36 volunteer hours:

  • 6 hours must be completed through the Bingo Program.
  • 10 hours must be completed through the Development Office.
  • 20 hours are regular volunteer hours and may be completed through approved activities listed in the Parent Participation Program guidelines.

Together, the Parent Pledge and volunteer program help strengthen our school community and provide essential support for the students and programs that make Bishop Amat special.

Volunteer Opportunities

Parents are encouraged to review the opportunities below and plan ahead to complete their required hours. When volunteering, parents are expected to dress appropriately for the activity, and all volunteer hours must be approved and recorded according to the Parent Participation guidelines. Coaches and moderators cannot award credit for Bingo or Development hours.
