Footprints Walk

Bishop David O'Connell Memorial Footprints Walk
Join us for a morning of faith in action at the Bishop David O’Connell Memorial Footprints Walk on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Bishop Amat High School’s Kiefer Stadium Track.
This annual community run/walk supports the life-changing work of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, benefiting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley. Over the past eight years, our community has raised more than $90,000 to help provide essential services, including housing assistance, food support, and case management for those most in need.
The event honors the legacy of David O'Connell, whose ministry in the San Gabriel Valley was marked by his deep compassion and personal commitment to serving the poor. Bishop O’Connell was a faithful participant in the Footprints Walk each year. He offered blessings at the starting line, greeted families with warmth, and often stayed long after the event to thank volunteers and encourage students. He believed service was not simply something we do—it is how we live our faith.
The Footprints Walk continues that mission by bringing our community together in support of our neighbors in need.
