Past Performances
Spring Musicals
Our students have delivered unforgettable performances in a variety of beloved productions. In recent years, our Spring Musicals have included:
- The Little Mermaid: Dive under the sea and relive the enchanting tale of Ariel and her quest for love and freedom.
- The Wizard of Oz: Follow the yellow brick road with Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion as they journey to the Emerald City.
- Mary Poppins: Experience the magic of everyone's favorite practically perfect nanny as she brings joy and wonder to the Banks family.
Fall Performances
In addition to our Spring Musicals, we have also showcased exceptional Fall Performances that have captivated our audiences:
- Clue: Based on the iconic board game, this hilarious whodunit will keep you guessing until the final twist.
- You Can't Take It With You: A heartwarming comedy that celebrates the eccentricities of family life and the joys of living fully in the moment.
Monsignor Aidan Carroll Performing Arts Center
In early 2022, we proudly opened the doors to our new state-of-the-art theater, the Monsignor Aidan Carroll Performing Arts Center. This modern facility is equipped with the latest technology and amenities, providing an exceptional environment for both performers and audiences. The Performing Arts Center is not only a venue for our outstanding productions but also a hub for our comprehensive theatre arts education program.

Theatre Arts Courses
Our theatre program offers a range of courses designed to cultivate the artistic and technical skills of our students. These courses provide a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring a well-rounded education in the performing arts.
Theater Arts (CSU/UC VAPA)
- Grade Levels: Select Freshmen; Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
- Description: This performance-based class equips students with essential acting skills and communication techniques. Students engage in acting exercises, perform scenes and monologues, and explore scene study, character development, and analysis.
Advanced Theater Arts
- Grade Levels: Select Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
- Prerequisites: Theatre Arts; Teacher signature required
- Description: For students wishing to advance their theatre arts education, this course offers deeper insights into acting and directing. Students refine their techniques through advanced scene work and develop a more nuanced understanding of character and scene analysis.
Technical Theater & Design (CSU/UC VAPA)
- Grade Levels: Freshmen; Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
- Description: This hands-on course introduces students to all facets of technical theater. Participants gain practical experience in set design and construction, costume and makeup design, sound and lighting, special effects, and prop creation. Students apply their skills directly to school productions, enhancing their understanding through design analysis and critique.
"FROZEN" MUSICAL AUDITIONS
"In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. "Frozen" 2026 | Audition Application
This application form is DUE: Wednesday, January 7th by 3PM for consideration.
AUDITION INFORMATION:
All auditionees are required to attend BOTH Vocal Auditions & Dance Auditions to be considered for a role. Those NOT on Dance Team or Pep Squad auditioning to be a lead dancer must also attend a Vocal Audition as you will be singing with the ensemble for all ensemble numbers - this is a music heavy show!
VOCAL AUDITIONS: Thursday, January 8th @ 3pm - 6pm in the Carroll Performing Arts Center
-Please email Mrs. Fabros at afabros@bishopamat.org to sign up for a 5 minute time slot.
You can find a list of available time slots here: Frozen | Audition Time Slots; You will check in at the Choir Room with the Theater Officers.
Please come prepared with:
-16 bars or :30 - :45 seconds of your best song selection in the style of Musical Theater
-You will be using a Backing Track for this Audition, no piano accompanist will be provided
-Please upload your .mp3 file below or youtube link to this google form along with detailed time stamps of your start and finish (we will have those downloaded and prepared for your audition)
-following your Vocal Audition, you will be asked to do a cold read, no monologues need to be prepared for this audition
DANCE AUDITIONS: Friday, January 9th @ 1:30pm-3:30pm(UPDATED) in the Carroll Performing Arts Center
-All students are required to attend Dance Auditions. You will be taught choreography that day, then asked to perform that choreography in groups. Please wear athletic clothing and shoes that allow for movement that are Amat Appropriate. If you would like to be considered for a Lead Dancer, please indicate that in your audition application under roles.
CALLBACKS: Friday, December 1st @ 3pm-6pm (UPDATED) in the Choir Room
-Callbacks will be announced following Vocal Auditions as needed. You will be emailed directly if you are needed for Callbacks

Pep Squad & Dance Team Lead Dancers
Those auditioning from Dance Team & Pep Squad will have a separate process of applying through Coach Sabrina & Coach Megan - please still complete this audition application to be considered. You DO NOT need to attend Vocal Auditions, Dance Auditions, or Callbacks above. Please inform your coach that you are interested in participating, and our choreographer, Mrs. Fabros, will be reaching out to your coaches with all information.

"Frozen" 2026 | Crew Application
This application form is DUE: Tuesday, January 13th by 3pm for consideration.
Interested in joining crew for "Frozen"? In general, crew meets on Wednesdays from 3pm-6pm and Saturdays 10am to 1pm for Crew Days & Set Building Days. Crew must be available for all of Mandatory Tech Weeks (3/26-4/16) and for all of the Shows (4/17-4/25) There may be other meetings called as necessary as well as additional dates for those interested in Stage Crew, Tech Crew & Makeup. Please note on the days you are asked to commit to before signing up for a crew! Once completing the application, you must sign up for crew interviews on Wednesday 1/14 from 3pm-5:30pm with Mrs. Fabros, Mr. Stiegmann & Mr. Aceves in the PAC Shop.
