Carroll Center

About

As of March 2022, the students at Bishop Amat High School finally have a permanent home for their visual and performing arts programs. The new Performing Arts Center will provide many benefits to the school and surrounding community by:

  • Facilitating the growth of the Bishop Amat Visual and Performing Arts programs

  • Attracting new students to the school and to the band, choral, drama and dance programs

  • Providing our students with a wonderful venue in which to state their productions

  • Providing space for multiple performing groups to practice simultaneously

  • Providing an auditorium for assemblies, registration sessions, class Masses, and other school activities

  • Facilitating the expansion of curricular offerings

  • Allowing community partners, in particular Catholic elementary schools and parishes, to stage their productions in our Center

Rental Information

At this time, rental of the theater is not available for the 2022-2023 academic year. Please contact Danielle Malabuyoc (dmalabuyoc@bishopamat.org) if you have any questions about future rental needs.

Facility Rules

  • Food, drinks, and gum are not allowed in the performing arts center. This includes all areas of the building (stage, pit, control rooms, dressing rooms, choral room, band room, lobby, shop, etc.)

  • Bottled Water with a secured lid is the only acceptable drink.

  • Students must remain with their teacher/adult supervisor at all times. No wandering around the facility.

  • Students may only enter and exit the stage from the backstage area. Do not climb on stage or jump off the stage. This is extremely dangerous.

  • You may not touch any of the equipment unless instructed to do so. This includes but is not limited to pulleys, light switches, audio equipment, monitors, etc.

  • Closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times.

  • The use of the dressing rooms is a privilege. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Keep all areas tidy and clean up after yourself. Do not take anything that doesn't belong to you. Do not leave your valuables unattended. Do not sit, stand, or climb onto the dressing room counters.

  • Do not stand or climb on any of the furnishings.

  • Do not write on any of the walls. This is considered vandalism and will not be tolerated.

  • Students may only enter the building with their teacher/adult supervisor. This is even the case if the door is unlocked or open. You must wait outside until they arrive to escort you into the building.
