The World Languages Department at Bishop Amat offers a variety of courses designed to serve our entire student population. Our courses are designed to educate students about other cultures and languages; more than that, though, our courses are designed to mold our students into better people.
Students become more familiar with different cultures and traditions through the teaching of languages such as Spanish, Latin and French. These courses are aligned with state standards and are required of all students in order to graduate.
We offer a challenging curriculum on multiple levels for all four years that students can take World Languages classes. Accelerated courses are offered in the freshman and sophomore year. AP and IB courses are offered to junior and senior students who are interested in pursuing a rigorous course of studies taught at the college level.
