Dear Lancers,

 

If you have in your possession any signed/verified service hour sheet(s), you must log these on your student portal and keep the verification sheets because we will collect them once we come back.

Giving back to the community through Christian Service is now more important than ever. There are many ways you can serve the community that doesn’t necessarily require close physical contact so you still can help out while maintaining social distancing. Please refer to the links provided by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Please remember that per Lancer Life, students are not allowed to work at for profit organizations, family companies, nor have their parents sign their service hour sheets.

 

Documentation is a very important part of your service. Free copies of the verification sheet are available on the Christian Service bulletin board in the 600 wing or you can download from the link below.

 

Please exercise all necessary precautions when volunteering by inquiring about
and following health and safety protocols.

October           - Baby Shower Drive: Respect Life Month for pregnancy help centers
November       - Fall Food Drive for Thanksgiving/Christmas Baskets and local food pantries
Nov. to Dec.    - Shoes That Fit Drive to help needy school kids
 
Semester II 
January        - Hygiene Kit Drive for the homeless
February      - Food Drive for our local food pantries
March           - Clothing Drive for St. Vincent De Paul
April              - Book Drive for Youth Facilities and the Prison Project.
May              - USO Drive to support our troops

Feb. 23 & 24, 2022- CARITAS - Sophomores Service Retreat

Reminders:

  1. Be at the student parking lot by 7:45 a.m.
  2. Wear (Blue) Amat shirt, jeans and tennis shoes and bring a sweater in case it might get cold
  3. Your parent should be at the student parking lot at 12:15 p.m. to pick you up
  4. Bring your snacks or money to buy food
  5. Amat rules and code of conduct apply
