Financial Aid & Scholarships

We are thrilled by your interest in becoming a part of our school community and understand that financial considerations play a vital role in the decision-making process. As a school committed to providing opportunities for all deserving students, we offer a comprehensive financial aid program to help make a Bishop Amat education accessible to families from diverse backgrounds.

Financial Aid Options

At Bishop Amat High School, we are committed to tailoring financial aid packages to meet the specific needs of our students. Financial aid options may include:

Option 1: Honors at Entrance Scholarships:

We are pleased to offer Honors at Entrance Scholarships to incoming freshmen who take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at Bishop Amat. Students scoring in the 95th-99th percentile will receive a $4,000.00 scholarship. Those in the 90th-94th percentile will be awarded a $3,000.00 scholarship, while students scoring in the 85th-89th percentile will receive a $2,000.00 scholarship. These scholarships recognize academic excellence and outstanding performance on the entrance exam.

Option 2: Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) Tuition Assistance Award:

The Catholic Education Foundation provides Bishop Amat families with Tuition Assistance Awards. Families with a total income at or below the CEF-published income guidelines are eligible to apply for a Tuition Assistance Award from the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). To schedule an appointment with a CEF representative, please visit, click on "CONTACT US," and select "TAP Appointments." Appointments are scheduled for December 7th and 8th and will take place at Bishop Amat High School. Applicants will be notified of their award status by the CEF in early March.

Option 3: Bishop Amat High School Financial Aid:

For families who do not meet the Catholic Education Foundation Income Guidelines or require additional financial assistance, Bishop Amat Financial Aid is available. Alternatively, you can obtain the application in person at our Front Office. Completed applications must be submitted in person.

After visiting and looking into other private schools, both faith based and non-denominational, the decision to send our two boys to Bishop Amat High School was an easy one. [...] Being a part of a school community where the staff and teachers are supportive and genuinely care about the well-being of their students furthers our confidence that we have made the right educational investment into our boys.

Bishop Amat High School Financial Aid Process

Application Submission: To be considered for Bishop Amat's Financial Aid, please complete the Bishop Amat Financial Aid application form, which can be found on our website or obtained at our Front Office. The application requires information about your family's financial situation and will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Deadline: We encourage you to submit your financial aid application as early as possible during the application process, as this will allow us to evaluate your eligibility efficiently. The deadline for financial aid applications is Tuesday, February 6, 2024

Evaluation and Assessment: Our financial aid committee will review the applications diligently, considering various factors such as family income, assets, number of dependents, and other relevant circumstances. We aim to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process.

Notification of Financial Aid Decision: Once the evaluation is complete, we will notify you of our financial aid decision. Please be aware that financial aid awards are distributed on a need-based basis, and the amount granted may vary depending on individual circumstances.

Timely Submission: Each year, we receive a significant number of financial aid applications. Submitting your application before the specified deadline is crucial. Doing so will enable us to review your application thoroughly and provide you with a prompt response.

Late Submissions: If the financial aid application is submitted after the deadline, we may place your application on a waiting list. While we will do our best to accommodate late submissions, priority will be given to those who apply on time.

Consider Your Financial Situation: We sincerely encourage all applicants to carefully assess their financial situation before completing the financial aid application. This allows us to allocate aid effectively and support as many qualified students as possible.

Securing Financial Aid Award: To ensure that you secure your financial aid award, it is essential to complete the enrollment process, which includes making the registration payment and scheduling a registration appointment, no later than two weeks after being notified of your financial aid award. By adhering to this deadline, you guarantee the availability of your financial aid and secure your place at Bishop Amat High School for the upcoming academic year.

The Bishop Amat High School Scholarship Program provides funding for students who, without financial assistance, would be unable to attend Bishop Amat.  Other than Honors at Entrance Scholarships, all scholarship opportunities have an income component and applicants must provide documentation of income to be eligible to receive the scholarship.  Scholarships are awarded from the pool of financial aid applications turned in to the Finance Office.
