Catholic Education Foundation Tuition Awards

Families whose household income meets CEF guidelines are encouraged to apply for $2,000 Tuition Awards—applications open in October, with on-campus interviews in November.

Bishop Amat High School Financial Aid Program (Only Available for 2026-2027)

To apply for Bishop Amat Financial Aid, families must first apply for a CEF Tuition Award if they meet the CEF income guidelines. All families may apply for Bishop Amat Financial Aid—applications are available in the Finance Office or at bishopamat.org. Required documents include 2025 tax returns, 2026 W-2s, and a recent pay stub. Deadline: February 3, 2026.

Bishop Amat Financial Aid Forms will be available later this year.

2025- 2026 Transfer Applicants

Applicants for the 2025-2026 school year who have completed their application checklist will receive a decision letter with enrollment instructions on a rolling basis.

2026- 2027 Transfer Applicants

Applicants for the 2026-2027 school year who have completed their application checklist by February 13, 2026 will receive a decision letter with enrollment instructions on March 6, 2026. All applications completed after February 13, 2026 will receive notice of their acceptance on a rolling basis.

There are three steps in the admissions process.

• Submit a completed online Application.  
• Pay the $75.00 application/test fee by the due date, a late fee of $50 will be added for those who submit an application starting January 17, 2026.
• Complete the Application Checklist.

Your admission file is complete when all application forms, fees, transcripts, attendance records, discipline records, and teacher evaluations, are on submitted on the Application Portal (checklist is completed).  A confirmation email will be sent upon completion of application forms.

The Admissions Committee is looking at a variety of personality, achievement, and aptitude factors to evaluate a student’s demonstrated ability to succeed in a competitive college preparatory environment. Students who are applying must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 or better. In general, a student should display consistently strong academic achievement, positive relationships with peers and teachers, and a commitment to active participation in religious and extracurricular activities at school and in the community.

There are four criteria for admission (not necessarily in order of importance):

• Unofficial Transcripts (showing completed high school credits)
• Attendance Report
• Discipline Report (or email from Counselor/Principal stating no reports or incidents)
• Recommendations from teacher/counselor
• Parish Recommendation (if applicable)
• Family relationship with the school is also given consideration.

If you are accepted, you will have access to your high school placement test scores and middle school transcripts. They become part of your official academic file at Bishop Amat. You do not have access to any other application information (recommendations, comments, etc.) This information is considered confidential.

Approximately 80% of the students who apply for admission are accepted.

Transfer Registration is ongoing. Applicants will be able to schedule an appointment for enrollment through the Application Portal once they have started the Enrollment Process.

Some students may be given a conditional acceptance and may be required to attend Summer School at Bishop Amat. Some students may also be given a conditional acceptance pending his/her performance at his/her present school.

Transfer Students who are not accepted can apply the following year, as long as they are not entering the 12th grade.

First and foremost, Bishop Amat is a Catholic school. Bishop Amat owes much of its success to the generous support of the Catholic Community over the past 50 years. Catholic applicants are generally, but not always, given preference over non-Catholic applicants. Being Catholic is not a requirement for admission. Presently, the student body is 88% Catholic.
