Summer Enrichment
Designed for 7th and 8th Grade Students
Bishop Amat High School is offering a four-week Summer Enrichment Program for students entering seventh or eighth grade in the fall. The program will give students the chance to enhance their English language skills, learn concepts vital for Algebra I, and explore courses in world language and performing arts. Participants of the Summer Enrichment Program will have the opportunity to benefit from academic study and social/interpersonal collaboration in a relaxed yet focused learning environment on the Bishop Amat High School campus. Students will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program session. For more information, please contact the school.

Language Arts Creativity through Writing |
Periods 1 & 2 |
This course is designed for students interested in literature and creative writing. Students will explore selected works of fiction, drama, and poetry. The course will provide students with an opportunity to write short stories, one-act plays, poetry, personal narratives, and basics of written composition. |
Intro to Algebra - Algebraic Basics |
Periods 1 & 2 | This course is designed for academically motivated students seeking an introduction to concepts presented in Algebra I. Content of the course includes equations and inequalities, exponents, polynomials, graphs and linear equations. |
Physical Conditioning and Weight Lifting |
Periods 1 & 2 | This course covers the fundamentals of fitness and motor skills, movement patterns, and strategies for physical activities. It includes basic weight, strength, and fitness training and conditioning. Students learn how to safely and effectively perform exercises. |
Voice Class |
Period 1 | Students will engage in solo and group singing in styles that may include classical, musical theater, and pop. There will be a focus on healthy vocal technique, expression, and an introduction to music theory. This fun class will conclude with a small recital on the stage of the theater for their parents and peers. |
Theater Arts Introduction to Acting |
Period 2 | This course is designed for students interested in theater arts and musical theater. Students will explore the dramatic arts through one-act plays, musicals, and improvisational theatre. |

AFA CyberCampCyberPatriot Camp |
June 5-9, 1pm - 5pm | This weeklong course is designed for 7th - 12th graders, it serves as an intro to cyber careers, ethics, safety, computers, virtual machines, and threats. Learn Windows, Linux, Ubuntu 18 security policies & tools. Students compete at end of the week. 15-student limit, this course is available for only $65, no additional fees. |
