Welcome
Presidents Message
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We celebrate the blessings of new beginnings, new enthusiasm, and renewed gratitude for the hard work and perseverance of our students, parents, faculty, and staff. I am especially happy to welcome our newest parents and students from the Class of 2028 as well as the many transfer students who joined us this August. We are privileged and blessed to include you as members of the Bishop Amat Family.
I do encourage all parents and students to review the policies, procedures and expectations inherent to a Bishop Amat education as described in Lancer Life. The key to a successful school year for all requires that we commit ourselves to the standards that define our Lancer experience. Of greatest importance, is our Catholic faith tradition, which has remained the central feature of a Bishop Amat High School education for the past sixty-seven years. Our Mission reiterates the common call we share with parents in the formation of young men and women who embrace Christ and demonstrate Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge to the world around them. We celebrate this partnership with parents, acknowledging the importance of our serving as examples by word and action for our students, sons and daughters.
To that end, I extend my most sincere thanks to all Bishop Amat moms and dads. It is through your understanding and acceptance of both the financial and time commitments associated with a Catholic, tuition-based school that enables our educational program to thrive. Nothing we do here on campus would be possible without your support and trust in our efforts and for that, we are most blessed and grateful.
As we begin a new school year, may the Holy Spirit continue to guide as we move forward in the rich tradition of excellence that is Bishop Amat High School.
God bless,
Richard P. Beck

Principal's Message
Dear Students and Parents:
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are excited to welcome our students back to Bishop Amat Memorial High School after a busy summer. We are especially pleased to welcome the Class of 2028 and our twenty transfer students into these “hallowed halls.” Our goal this year, as in others, is to provide a high quality Catholic education for our students so they can grow, learn, and continue their faith journey in a safe and academically stimulating environment.
Lancer Life is an essential tool for students and parents. We update this resource annually to provide you with an understanding of the expectations and protocols that we follow at Bishop Amat. In it you will find detailed information regarding our Christian Service program, our academic programs, our athletic teams, and extracurricular programs. Additionally it serves as a wealth of information describing our dress and grooming policies, behavioral and attendance expectations, and school procedures. We ask that you familiarize yourself with this document as the year progresses and to consult it when you have a question or need.
Finally, I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to the parents of Bishop Amat Memorial High School for your continued faith in Catholic education. The past few years have not been easy and we recognize the many sacrifices that you made to enable your sons and daughters to remain enrolled at Amat. You have been “Steadfast, Loyal, and True,” and the entire Bishop Amat Family will honor that commitment with hard work, prayer, and our continued faith that all children at Amat can and will learn, and will graduate prepared for college, life, and Heaven.
God bless,
Gabriel Escovar
