This rigorous two year program requires that select students engage in 6 total, college level courses in each of the major subject areas listed below:
- Studies in language and literature (English)
- Language acquisition (French, Latin, & Spanish)
- Individuals and societies (History & Economics)
- The arts (optional)
In addition to the required six college level courses, students will also complete the Diploma Programme core requirements which aim to broaden students’ educational experience and challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills. The three core elements are:
Each course the student attempts requires two levels of testing to earn college credit. An internal assessment assigned and graded by the faculty of Bishop Amat, and an external assessment in May which is graded by the International Baccalaureate.
