On Tuesday, at Ramona Convent, the Catholic Athletic Association (CAA) finalized league configurations for the 2018-2022 sports season.
Two of the strongest leagues in California, the Camino Del Rey Association and Los Angeles Association, will remain intact for all sports. The Camino Del Rey Proposal #1 submitted by St. Anthony, Long Beach gained strong support to passage.
On the football side, the Camino Del Rey Proposal 3 (A), again submitted by St. Anthony, won passage on a second vote easily defeating Proposal 3 (B). The PAC 5 Mission Football League is comprised of Bishop Amat, Gardena Serra, Chaminade, Bishop Alemany, Loyola, and Notre Dame Sherman Oaks.
Encino Crespi moved down to the Angelus League and Harvard Westlake moved to the Del Rey.
Every two years, teams and leagues will be re-evaluated and updated based on performance.
