Auditions for the 2010 -2011 Chamber Singers (Advanced Choir) & Bella Cora (Intermediate Women’s Choir) will take place on Monday, June 14th from 10 am – 4pm.  Call backs will happen on the same day from 6pm – 9pm.

What to expect:
Each singer will perform the  Star-Spangled Banner for the entire group. Sung in a classical style, a cappella, in a key of your choosing.

You will be taught one to two pieces of choral music briefly.

Individually you will
Sing the Major Scale (Do – Do)
Sing the Minor Scale (La – La)
Repeat a succession of  up to 5 pitches
Sing vocal warm ups to check range
Sight-read a short excerpt

If called back, you will be given another short piece of music to learn on your own.
You will sing individually, in sections, in quartets, in small groups, etc.

There will be a short interview portion.

Each applicant must turn in an application with parent permission & 2 reference sheets.
All dedicated singers with a positive attitude are encouraged to audition!! Previous experience is a plus but not required.
